Since that first race, Dr. Jason Karp has become an internationally-recognized running and fitness expert and owner of Run-Fit, LLC, providing coaching and educational services to runners and fitness professionals around the world. He is the 2011 IDEA National Personal Trainer of the Year and 2014 recipient of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition Community Leadership Award.
A rare combination of education and experience, Jason holds three degrees in exercise science, including a PhD in exercise physiology from Indiana University, a master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Calgary, and a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science from Penn State University.
